History
The library, a unique joint project between the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners and the Hillsborough County Public Schools, was funded to expand the Sulphur Springs Elementary School Media Center by 3,500 square feet with additional staffing and enhanced hours of operation. Construction began in 2009 with doors opening to the pubilc in February 2010.
The library was named in honor of Norma and Joseph Robinson who, upon retiring to the Sulphur Springs area in 1997, became active members of numerous community groups and devoted Sulphur Springs advocates. In addition to their strong support being instrumental in the building of the library, the couple are also co-founders of the Sulphur Springs Museum & Heritage Center.
